Bat two piece bolt issues

I’ve got a few new bat actions in the shop. These come with the newer two piece bolts. The firing pin spring seems to bind in the sleeve that connects the two halves.

I’m sure its only worse when it’s compressed.

When I dry fired out of the stock it makes a very dull thud sound, not the sharp crisp sound like a hammer striking an anvil that other actions with no drag in the system make.

Has anyone else experienced this? It seems like a design flaw to me but I’m no engineer.

Take the bolt apart and ensure that everything is clean. Insert the sleeve without the bolt head, and see if the firing pin moves freely. If so, reassemble the bolt ensuring that everything is indexed correctly, and see if the pin still moves freely.

I have 4 of these in the shop. They are all new and all the same way. There isn’t enough clearance through the sleeve it seems

If you remember, the first Neuvo I got had the handle fall off. It turned out, the thread relief was cut way to deep, it was barley 1/8 inch In diameter.
I fixed it by making a new handle, screwing them together with a grade 8 stud.
I made this handle just as a temporary, but never got around to making a pretty one. Works great, looks terrible.

Jackie the stud idea has always made way more sense to me on that type of application. and somewhat easier in my opinion as well
