Barnard. Only issue is stock selection is a little more limited.

I'd flip a coin. I've had both, and each was superb. The BAT is better looking IMO, and felt smoother. But either is a winner if you are. 8)

I have both also my second was the model p .I like the bat more. The bat is much smoother and I still don't like the action lug system on the p. Just my opinion.

I have 2 barnard p's in my collection. Stocks weren't a problem for me. I used v-blocks for each and one is in a prt low boy and the other in a masterclass fclass stock.

Paul (OP), I agree with Rick and Larry, I have two identical rifles (except for color and bolt face) built on Panda F-Class actions and can interchange bolts and barrels on them with no issues what so ever and maintain same headspace.

I assume you will build a F-T/R rifle, the light weight of the Panda will offer you more flexibility with components.

Also, with a Panda action, you never have to be without a rifle when re-barreling it since your gunsmith can thread and chamber another barrel without your action present.

I can't get past the back end of the bolt on the Barnard...that is hideous. You spend the amounts we do on our guns you want something that looks cool and finished and that doesn't do it for me. If it was the only option, sure but with BAT and Panda there isn't reason to buy an ugly action ;D

OP--tex ,,,look at a Panda at a match,,,,it has integral 20 MOA rail,,,integral recoil lug,,,light weight so you can use the weight somewher else in the gun,,,interchanable bbls and no problems waiting on gunsmith,,,,and I think they co$t le$$....the only way to go,,,Roger
