BAT Machine MCV stock

Ive seen a couple. They are a very nice looking stock. I believe boyds makes them and bat modifies them or boyds finishes them to their specs.

Thanks Dusty,

Interesting, I didn’t give much thought that someone like Boyd’s would be making them. Think I will give them a call tomorrow and inquire.

I doubt either would tell, but the butt pads say boyds on them
Ya, I didn’t mean for that to read like I was gonna call them and ask who is making them, I figured if it’s good enough for the folks at BAT then it’s most certainly good enough for me! Just want to inquire about lead times and such… Was hopeful that a few members might have one and share a little about it.

They are a very nicely finished stock with nice carbon fiber and a very nice clear job. Its definitely up a notch from a boyds

I’m not sure about the MCV
On the Benchrest stock Steve told me a couple years ago to reach out to Jeff directly to order a cedar BR carbon fiber

I just got a BR stock (cedar) from BAT a couple of weeks ago (unfinished). Very nice stock, I spoke with Daryle at BAT and had it inletted for a DS with no grip and a drop port.

Thank you. I see they are in Hayden, ID so it would make since they might be the builder.

Did you post a few weeks ago about it? I thought I had seen a post but couldn’t find anything recent when I did a search.

I've got two BAT stocks and spoken with Daryle at BAT extensively, he actually told me where (I wasn't listening) they got the stocks but once they get them they do extensive work to them, correction, I have one in hand and they are doing the second one now, both are drop ports and one is a DS and one a B.

the truth will come out soon
Just ask bat for a written response please

a few years ago they has]d a guy making them with their permission to their specs
my recollection was that person was somewhat local to,their part of the USA

they may use Boyd’s butt-pads as they may work, their ads should have done something about that

I respect you Dusty just think you may have innocently or inadvertently came to the conclusion that B’s was doing the stocks as a whole rather than just the butt=pad

might be wrong but don’t think so as that is not how they operate, unless things have recently changed

and yes as one of the designers of the JTR benchrest stock and a personal friend of Tom and Bruce I thought I might have an idea on what has happened

again Dusty just trying to help out a person whom I respect, you
