Bat actions question

Im going to do a mcmillan a-3 tactical stock, and im wanting a Bat action I can make double for f class to swap out to a diff stock for F open or ftr...

Must be Long action.

Which Bat actions are best suited for what Im wanting.. prolly run a 284 win..

Whats the difference in a 2 lug vs 3 lug?

One of their “M” actions will up to 338 but also works with cases as small as 6.5x47 Lapua, maybe even the BR size.

The A3 is designed for a remington tang, only option is the HR also available as a dual port

I have several "M"'s. i run everything from 22BR to 300 WBY in the same action (two bolts). Now, there are several things you need to run the BR case in an "M" so that they eject properly. I've got 'em, but can't remember what they are. I bought an "M" multiflat one time that would not eject the dasher case....I ordered it wrong. Call BAT for exactly what you need to eject the BR case. Tell them what you are doing,.,. They will set you on the right path!!

I have a McMillan A3 with a Stiller action in 6BR ( rem 700 clone), and I wish it were the new A6 instead. Check out this post and look at the difference in width of the flat on the A6 fore end. According to this post, the McMillan website has the wrong picture of the A6, it shows a hook type lower rear stock.

Mine is a short action, I do not know the compatibility of the long actions.

The A6 has a butt hook, the A6 prs does not.

Would it be safe to assume the A3 will be used as a tactical field rifle or hunting ? If so that Melonited HR is as good as it gets.
