BAT 3L question

Would a 3L with the milled bottom be able to handle the recoil of a .243 Ackley or would it need a recoil lug?

BAT recommends that you do not use a recoil lug.
Mine has a 6mm SLR screwed into it and never had a problem...
I have a mag bolt for it when I do a 7mm SAUM switch barrel and that won't use a lug either..

Thanks Preach, thats what I was hoping to hear especially since you use an equal and larger cartridge. I'm plotting my next barrel for the groundhogs . . .

You will have no problem with the 243. Have Tom Merideth do A quality bedding job for you is the secret also and never look back.Pete
