Base for Savage

I have a Savage F-open rifle. I am getting ready to buy base and rings. Now am I going to be able to use a regular base or do I need a 20MOA. Scope will be either a NF-5.5-22x56 or a Luppy 8.5-25x50 Long Range Target scope.

Edmed -

You can ask Ken Farell who makes great bases / rings.

You can ask Fred Moreo of Sharpshooter Supply in Delphos, OH

Merry Christmas !

Hey Ed, 20 minutes works fairly well with a 6.5 X 284, I use about 23.5 minutes of elevation froma 200 yard zero with a NF 12-42 BR scope. No issues.

I have a few rifles with Farrell rings/bases. What I like is that I've been able to call directly and have what I want shipped same day, so far.

Thanks I have a set of rings and a Base from Ken Farell for the 6BR Savage I have got it through Sharpshooter along with the trigger Sharpshooter sells.
I was actually going to go with Glen Seakens this time around.
I figured I could go with a standard base but I guess to be on the safe side I will get a 20MOA.

Merry Christmas

I got a 10moa from farrell just incase I needed a little extra elev for playing. I also recall seeing a 15 moa.
