Barts 105 hammers & H4895

Just overwhelming the info on the Hammers. I am looking for info on where to start with my new Hammers. 30.6 shoots ok with the 108 Bergers but I am looking for something better. 1-8 twist. 300-400 yds. What do you think?

I use 30gr of 4895 with hammers jammed .009 (2930 fps). Shoots fine

H4895 varies a bunch from lot to lot. So I prefer to talk velocity. For most of my 6BRA Barrels shoot between 2900 and 2920fps and again around 2950 to 2970. Most of the time with Hammers I’m 6 to 10 into the rifling, but there’s always exceptions. Working with a new barrel today and It shot like crap until I was hit .013 into the rifling then it came to life. Some barrels will want to run faster some slower you’ve just got to see what they want. But in general the two spots I talked about above are a real good place to check.
