105 HAMMER report
Wednesday Shayne Halliburton and Steve Perry from Scottsville, Ky came over to the DOME for a little R & R. After eating lunch at the Sue and Pete S & P store we headed for the range. I had intended to shoot the 700 Titanium first but I had left the firing pin at home. So I started with the Viper SS 6.5 x 284. Ten rounds and the last 3 shells made called heart shots and on the last round I called head shot and Ole Chuckie laid back with a hit to the nose. Then Shayne shot his We The People EAGLE in 284 Win. and Steve shot his factory Savage 6.5 Creedmore. Now I went home and got my firing pin for the 700 Titanium.
I had loaded a new Bullet. BART's 105 HAMMER. First time out so I was pumped to see how this highly celebrated bullet would shoot in the Titanium. Bart had visited the DOME and left me some to try and I finally got around to them. I had loaded ten rounds. I started at 800 and first round was on plate. Subsequent rounds got tighter and tighter on 800 plate. Some shots were just making larger black spots and had a great waterline. Very pleased with the first 8 shots. With the two remaining shots, I called 800 yard EGG. March 10 x 60x on 30 power. No wind, clear, sunny, ground still frozen in shadows. I squeezed off the first round and a second later saw the 800 yard EGG VAPORIZE. Not bad for first time out with the
