Bartlein Barrels service

I have purchased some 6mm bartlein barrels, about 10 months ago. i have repeatedly e mailed and called them , with no responce on either? Does anybody know what is happening with Bartlein?

Can't explain the lack of communication but I think they have on there website up to 12 months. Over the last couple of years I have found them to be great to deal with and provided great service to me

The last I saw on their site was 9 months, but that was some time ago.

If you want to call, do it when they first open. After that Frank and the crew are nearly impossible to get on the phone.

I have only one Bartlein, ordered & delivered back in 2008. At that time they were very prompt to answer e-mails & I could - usually - get someone when I called.

They're probably swamped now & putting their maximum efforts into producing reliable product. The same is true of almost every other precision gun products manufacturer I know of. Like Jeff said, try very early in the day & you'll increase your odds. You might even want to try a little before they open; some times folks come in early (or stay late) just to catch up with office stuff so as to leave the most hours in the day for the shop operations.

It's gotta be tough on any business to have more trade than you can handle promptly while much of the rest of the economy is suffering & many friends have been out of work for months or longer.

I know I'll be a customer of theirs again someday, but not before I find work again myself....

Well, if they have that much business, you would think they could afford someone to answer the phone and keep customers informed as to the progress of their barrels, during business hours! Customers shouldn't have to "get lucky" to talk to them!

Call Krieger, great barrels, great service! I ordered two barrels from Krieger, they beat the estimated delivery date by 2 weeks. Oh, and I didn't have to wait a year either!

I agree with Eric; call KREIGER. Great barrels, great service!
I found the same problem with Bartlein and just switched to Kreiger. They'll get the message when their sales go in the toilet.

They answer the phone when I call and I always get a straight answer. They have had alot of tooling problems for the 6mm machine and are trying to get them fixed.

Lead time is getting very long.

Bartlein is expanding their shop and setting up for more production.
The barrels are excellent although lead time is suffering.
Some barrels are available thru distributors . Hoens. Grizzly and a few others. Frank and the guys are operating wide open. To check your order and lead time a call is best. If you can't get thru then Email them at their site. I hope your order gets processed soon.

If you cant wait that long maybe consider a Brux.I ordered a 6mm, was told 8 weeks , and had it in 4. Pretty good. I also like Broughton alot!

There are plenty of other sources, like Lester Bruno, who keep a large inventory in stock with almost any caliber, twist & contour you would want. I've called and placed an order & had the barrel within 1 week. Krieger that is, don't know about Bartlein.
