This past week we fitted up our first Bartlein Barrel to a 6mmAR upper. I took it out today to give it a going over and test firing. At the range I shot 3 magazine feed function rounds through it,the first three shots down the bore), gave it a quick cleaning, brush a few times with Shooters Choice, and a few wet patches down the bore, followed by some dry ones) on a shooting bench, then looked down the bore with my bore scope - no copper and no fouling. Great! No further break in needed for this barrel.
I then put a scope on the upper and shot a few sighters on one target to get a zero and then 10 shots on another target. Attached is a picture of the 10 shot target shot prone with a sling at 100 yards on an MR-31 target. This barrel shoots!
