Barrels and Bolts

Got a 112 J Savage in .222 and would like to convert to 6.5 X 47 Lapau. Would like to use a Shilen drop in barrel. How do these barrels compare to some of the other name brands? I would also need to get the bolt face replaced with an after market bolt head. Who does this kind of work with a reasonable waiting period? Thanks for your time.

I would talk to kevin rayhill at 1-309-432-5114 and there are smiths on here who would be happy to do it. You can do it yourself with a few tools but if you are nervous to do it,send it to a smith.

They are great barrels! I have 2 6.5X47Lapua rifles and they are very accurate.
