Barreled Action Recommendations

I have been procrastinating adding a training rig to the family for awhile. The time has come. Rather than having another full custom rig built. I am leaning towards just a barreled action seeing how I already have the chassis and glass and I am certainly capable of mounting a barreled action in a AI chassis. Curious if anyone has any recommendations? So far I am leaning towards Straightjacket Arms and I am aware of Stutesville Precision and Altus Precision. I am sure there are many more but again curious on other recommendations. Thank you in advance.

Depending on what you want to spend you can get a Bighorn Origin or TL3 action and then get a prefit barrel for it. The good part about the Bighorns is that you can change out the bolt faces so you can have a .223 and larger centerfire(6.5 Creed, .308 etc) off the same action. Check with Patriot Valley Arms and they can do barreled actions for you.

I am 99% sure its going to be an Impact 737R with a .223 bolt face and a 26” Bartlein MTU or possibly M24. So I am budgeting at 2,300’ish.

Roger that. I am curious about their tactical action. I will read up more on them. Bat Tactical Action has me intrigued too. Prefer the scope rail and recoil lug to be intregal. I currently have 3 rigs with 737Rs, 2 Stiller an a few Defiance Deviants and like them all.

Copy. I just like keeping my options open. That’s why I built my latest on a TL3 and have a 6.5 Creed and .223 barrel on it. Same exact set up except for caliber.

I think that is pretty slick. For me I don’t know why, I prefer separate sticks/rigs for each caliber I run. Reading up on Kebley’s Black Bear Tac.
