Barrel swap on Barrett REC7 DI

Hello fellas. I have a factory original Barrett REC7 DI and I am considering swapping out the factory 16" barrel for a 18" Ranier Arms precision barrel (for coyote hunting). I assume the Barrett is mil spec but can't find any specific info on that. My question is, should I be able to swap out the barrel (with new gas block) for the original with no problem? Is there anything in particular I should be aware of that may cause problems? I have included a picture of the Barrett's current rifle below - first time I've ever come across that kind of barrel nut. Thanks in advance, you folks are a great source of wisdom on these matters. That's typical of floating handguard barrel nuts. Looks like a pretty unique gas block though; but you said you'll be replacing that so you should be good-to-go.
