barrel length

I am building a long-range target rifle off a Remington 700 action that I have blueprinted and I would like to know What is the optimum barrel length for a .270 WSM. What do you think about the .270WSM as a long-range tack driver caliber?

You may be better off going with the 7mm, Id say 26" is about right and anything longer up to 30 would be good for a slight increase in velocity.

check out week 64 in guns of the week. 270 is a nice caliber but 7mm has a better bullet selection. cliffe
