Barrel happy with one bullet speed?

Still playing around with my .308 I'm starting to see a pattern forming. After trying several powders and bullet combo's there is a common factor with the accuracy node no matter what powder or bullet. Everything seems to "come together" right around 2625-2660 speed. Is this a thing??

I'm sure there are other velocity nodes as well.

I have one barrel in .22BR that does the same thing. If the bullet, 50-55 gr is not going close to 3450 fps it will not group. No clue why.

Not unusual at all. I tested 3 powders with one bullet. All came in at the same speed.

Yes !
With a certain projectile weight. Write it in your notes and target the same velocity with any projectile of the same weight.

Not unusual at all. I tested 3 powders with one bullet. All came in at the same speed.

Occasionally you get lucky and one powder will let you reach the next higher 'node' than the others. Usually you wind up giving something (barrel life, brass life, temperature stability) for that, though.

Optimum barrel tune at that velocity. Use a tuner to change that velocity
