Barrel Contour

Trying to decide on a Barrel for a new 6BR groundhog gun. I don't want to compromise accuracy, but don't want 12 lb. gun either.
The stock I've picked out has 3 vents on the left and right side of the forearm to help with heat dispursion not that heat build up is a problem hunting groundhogs.

If you know what the other components weigh, then it's easy to figure contour based on the total weight you wan't the rifle to be. A 10-11 lb gun is not bad to carry if not carrying too far. You can generally build a walking varminter on a LV contour barrel and fall somewhere in that range. A #6 will lose you a little bit and a # 5 is commonly used as a heavy barrel for a big game rifle. Most scopes add about a pound, but the Nightforce's add two, so this needs to be figured in too.
