what barrel contour would be the best to go with in a varmint/target/whitetail 6br? Barrel will be a 1:8 twist and will be shot from 100-800yds with. I'm not dead set on a length yet, but most likely 26-28". Weight is of no concern to me....i don't have more than a few hundred yards to walk with a rifle anywhere I shoot.
The question arises from me shooting my 223ai and 222....the 223ai heats up after 20-25rds of "moderate" (lol..they're hot as hell) loads. It's a LV contour. The 222 is a CZ527 american...it heats up with only 5-10 rounds.
I want to be able to shoot a good string before I have to let it sit.
