barrel change

I have curently a .22 250 with a 1 in 14 barrel twist, and would like to be able to interchange it with a barrel of about 1in eight so I can shoot heavier roundsup to 80grains.
my rifle is a CZ550. are barrels available and about how much do they cost. thank for all the advice before hand. good luck and good hunting.
ps: the barrel is a heavey varmint forged type, black.

I memory serves me correctly, CZ centerfires use the standard Mauser large ring threads. In which case, pick you favorite barrel manufacturer. Otherwise, I can recommend Lothar-Walther and Pac-Nor, both of whom list the CZ action on their websites. Depending on options, they will cost you in the neighborhood of $250 - $300.

If by "interchange" you mean you would like a swap-barrel rig, at the very least, you are going to have to buy some specialized tools and have a very sturdy bench to work from. There are easier solutions, but they would include a different action from the CZ. I am particularly fond of the Savage action for such applications.

Maybe others will chime in.
