Barnes Varmint Grenade bullets

Has anyone tried the Barnes Grenade bullets yet? I just ordered some 62 grn. 6mm bullets to try on groundhogs. I have a 6mm BR 1-14" that puts 65 grn. Hornady V-Maxes into the same hole @200 meters. The Barnes bullet should perform spectaculary in this configuration. I also have a Savage single shot switch barrel rig put together by Fred @ Sharp Shooter Supply. One of the barrels I have for this rig is a .243 A.I. 1-12" Pac-Nor Super Match that is now broken in. I'm going to try the 62 grn. bullet in the .243 A.I. and see what happens on PA groundhogs this season.

Were did they groundhog go! lol, they should work great, I have not heard anything about them yet. I have used the TNTS on a 6 BR and worked wonders on farrel pigs up to 200 yards. I also tried the Barnes Triple shock 85 gr. in my 243 win 1 9 1/4 twist and they worked better than I expected, I recommend Barnes bullets to anyone. Best of luck and I hope someone with more experience can help you out.

Yeah, that's kind of what I was thinking. The 62 grainer shot from a .243 A.I. should be at least 3800 ft/s. + and I would imagine pieces of groundhog should fly in the air. I'll have them in my hands soon, load developed quickly, sighted in and real live field trial results to report on.
