Barnes Varminator - .243" Dia. 58 Gr.

Just had a 6mmbr built for varmint hunting and was looking at this bullet. Has anyone had any experience with it?

Never had any myself. Are these "old" varmint bullets being discontinued??
The 58 V-Max is an awesome light varmint bullet.

Yes, Barnes has some on close out. I am doing some load data with the 58 v-max now. I am getting good groups for just starting.

Heres how I'd look at it.
You could buy a couple boxes and find out if they work. Will you be able to buy more? Or will they be all gone by then?
Buy a couple thousand and find out your gun dislikes them.

I'd stick with something thats going to remain on the market. Let the folks who have had good luck with them buy up the last remaining batch. Thats just me.
