Barnes 6mm/.243 95 grain LRX

Hi everyone, I would like to know if anyone has experience with the new Barnes 95 grain LRX 6mm.
I picked up a couple boxes to try in my 6mm A.I. 26”/ 8 twist. I have loaded some with viht N-165 and some with N-160. When I built the gun I built it on a short action and looking back it was a mistake- I am now limited by magazine length, this gun is intended for deer, antelope and mainly coyotes, so magazine length is an issue. Barnes recommends seating them .050” off the rifling- but to fit my mag I am .080”. Anyways if anyone has any experience with them please chime in.

Yes awesome bullet. Shoot in a 243. Nephew took a big buck last year with it. Also he uses a tikka so I think we where pretty close to .100 off lands. Have to look back in my book.
I use the Barnes 175gr LRX in my 300wm for elk my custom gun never came in till I got .100 off lands with it. All copper bullets seem to work better off lands in my experience so far. And always use less grain than u would normally use in a copper lead bullet. I would start at ..080 off and don't be afraid to even go more off might come in even better

Well I’m glad to hear that even with .080” or more of jump that he was able to get it to shoot well- that’s encouraging

I expect coyotes to run off if you do not hit bone, not much meat on a coyote once you skin them.

You could probably shoot a 90g Nosler with about the same load once you find it.

I have worked a load with a 87 grain Berger hunting VLD for coyotes at 3450 FPS- I will check out the nosler as well- Thanks
