Barnard P action ejector question

My dasher has a Barnard P action with the ejector in it. When cleaning the bolt I removed the pin holding the ejector in. Upon reinstalling the pin it slightly bent and will not line up. I will try to order another roll pin but in the mean time can I remove the spring and ejector pin and still shoot the rifle. I know the extractor will pull the brass out but will the empty ejector hole cause any problems?

Lay it down on a flat surface (hard wood is best) and whack it with a hammer,,,Roger

Depending on your chamber clearances - yes

It can make your rifle more accurate to the point where you don't ever want to reinstall it
