Barnard P Action Ball Bearing

Lost the ball bearing at the back of the P action bolt that sits on the firing pin sleeve shroud and is captured by the end cap.
What size is the ball bearing. I presume its stainless steel or chrome.

Most likely hardened tool steel. Seek out a bearing supply house or look on the internet for McMaster Carr or Granger for a real ball bearing ball or .250 gauge ball to replace your original. Big box hardware stores have assortments of balls but they are of unknown origin and hardness.

Go down to your local bicycle shop. They should have an assortment of ball bearings that are used for wheel bearings, headsets and older bottom brackets.

Interesting ! That is who I called when I lost mine a few years ago and was told .250 .
Not sure how critical it is as the trigger falls (dry fire) without any BB.
Installed the 6mm BB. Question: My BB is recessed @.2" under the bolt end cap. Is that where your's sits?

I don't know why there would be a .250 ball bearing in a metric action. On the other hand, for what it does, I don't see why either wouldn't work.
