Bank of America Privacy Violations

Serious allegations against Bank of America, they say it is only in Washington DC but do you really think it will stop there.
Another major threat to all gun owners,
(aka) terrorists.
It might be time to rethink the benefits of dealing with them.

Man'o'man I'd have to think that'd be grounds for a civil suit over violation of confidentiality agreement.

What grounds would BoA have for thinking a customer is doing anything illegal simply from the transactions they undertake with their personal funds held by the bank?

Writing a check for your NRA dues gets you tagged as a suspected terrorist? I mean, really?

How'sabout writing a check to BLM huh?

Can you quote the pertinent lines in their privacy policy? These policies protect them, not you.

With whom do we share your personal information?

...
  • Government Agencies as required by laws and regulations.

An emergency declaration was signed before the inauguration. I'll be that's all that's needed to hand it all over.

Something you probably never heard of after 9/11

In the weeks after 9/11 the FBI learned that the hijackers bought simulator time from a Fla flight school to learn how to fly a large jet. The FBI then contacted every flight school in America demanding all information on every pilot and student pilot, or anyone who took flying lessons.

I was in the flight school business at the time and we, along with some other nearby California flight schools refused to compile that list, but I suspect they got that information through other means because they never pressed the issue to the point of search warrants.

This was before the passing of the Patriot Act and the creation of Dept. of Homeland Security, FISA courts etc.

If you were unaware of this, just think of what else you aren't aware of, especially after the storming of the Capitol.

People are actually still using Bank of America?! Their hi-jinx behavior is so well documented. About a decade ago I listened to Dave Ramsey say “Bank of America is so stupid, they’ll cut your arm off just to see if you bleed”.

Financial system doesn’t have anything even close to lawyer-client privilege. All financial institutions are constantly monitoring and reporting to the government on all sorts of activity. If they look the other way around things like money laundering they can see massive fines.

This has to be a violation of our 4th amendment rights, under unlawful search and seizure. Unless they had a subpoena for the information I don't understand how this would be legal?

There was no subpoena or request, BOA done it on there own and gave it freely that's where the
questions come in.

Or they knew not to press for useless info because it may have been an inside job. I will stop so the thread does not digress.

Getting back to the topic, we are losing the battle "slowly". our info gets shared all of the time we just don't know about it. All of our info is on electronic format (all of it) from what size show you wear to your last hair cut. When (not if) but when the big brother or the big government decided to pull your plug all is needed is freeze your bank account and yoru credit cards. and by that time the "recent coin shortage" will be "paper money shortage" and we can't buy anything.

".......I am sorry sire the country is experiencing a coin shortage you have to pay by a CC...." what a crock of horse shit is that??? See I digressed again

Not the point.

The point is: did BoA choose to hand over customer data before being asked for it?

I have no issues with due process. (Even if I have little control over what happens were I to be confronted somehow.)

What I have a problem with is a public financial services company taking it upon themselves to treat their customer data access as some kind of Red Flag insider information as some sort of bargaining chip.

Remember BoA played a large role in the CDO mortgage debacle that brought us the last recession starting in 2007. They're not like the rest of us.

Well if tweeter can been President Trump with no Consequence or penalty why won't the banks breach their policies. They all could practically do whatever they want now.

The Phone companies are doing the same thing i get texts from store and companies asking me to buy stuff. I wonder how they got my number.

Remember this is the same FBI that refused to bother with looking into vote-counting irregularities in 8 states early on the morning of 11/7/2020.
The FBI is now political which means they have to take sides in order to accomplish an agenda. Its as simple as that.
