Ballistics software

Yes, it works well. Both this app and "Shooter" use Bryan Litz's solver. AB's app has a large reticle library. Either one will perform more ballistics calculations than you are likely to need. My use is really simple. It is a "cheat sheet" in case I forget to print one for my clipboard at matches.

You really need a weather like a Kestrel 4000 or better to get the most/best out of any ballistic software.
I have the S 4 and shooters, the S 4 updates the current
weather into the program.

I'm not how sure the frequency of the programed update but you can manually do it by hitting the refresh on the weather app. But there is no doubt that a Kestrel would give you much more accurate data. The problem being the weather station could be blocks or miles from your real location.

If you want to play with a free one, I've used 'STRELOK' since he developed for Palm Smartphones. He has a variety of reticles including the Vortex MRAD for my 6-24 which makes the graphic display very easy to work with. He doesn't have coriolos corrections, GPS inputs but no obnoxious adds either for his 'PRO' version ($5).

Well how often does the S4 update the weather, a Kestrel does it as it happens
Well it appears that it updates on the hour,Here in Kingman AZ .
So for any serious shooting a Kestrel will be needed.
