ballistics program question- virtual load testing

I have a ballistics program that tells me basic info and if you have performance figures it will give you trajectories and such
has been fine up until now- but I have reached some limitations with it......

What I'm looking for is a ballistics program that will enable you to virtually test out load ideas first.

I want to be able to test loads on the PC first and then see if the real world lives up to the computer modeliing

Is there such a program that allows you to do such a thing?
EG- input things like:--

6 BR Norma chambered rifle
30 grains Reloader 10-X powder
a
65 V-max
CCI BR primer
and
a 25.5 inch barrel

What velocity will that give? roughly- it's unlikely that it will be able to give me an exact figure but a range and a chamber pressure would be great

Mainly I want this for bench testing 30 BR heavy projectile loads- there is almost no data about for the 30 BR with projectiles greater than 135 grains

if there is such a program does anyone have a "shareware" version available for download as the gunshops here in AU dont seem to know of such a program...

thanks

Quickload
and as for the load you spoke of seated at 2.165,
Vel: 3489
Pressure: Psi-57241, Bar-3947
Case fill: 97.6%
Powder burn: 100%
Muzzle Pressure: 6873psi
100% powder burn: 19.03in.

Quickload does it all

wow
I didn't think it would be that quick- thanks
seeing at that load is shooting .4 day in day out I'm not going to play with it

Is muzzle pressure the chamber pressure when the projectile leaves the muzzle?
is there a definition of terms in the program?

P

Yes the muzzle pressure is how much pressure is left when exiting the muzzle. I do believe there is a file that comes with the new program explaining everything

ripper thanks

What velocity could I expect from a 243 win. with a 26 inch barrel with a 87grn v-max with 46.5 grains of H4831SC behind it?

Thanks

Remember fellas, QL is not a substitute for brains. Powder burn rates can swing +/- 10 percent lot to lot. When I work up a load in QL, I throw a safe charge 15 percent below P-max and chronograph 10 shots. I then callibrate the QL program to my specific lot of powder and create its own file. From then on out I can trust that it will show me pretty damn close to real world velocities and pressures. This in conjunction with using an,OBT) Optimum Barrel Time chart has led to some great accurate loads.

And one other critical "gun specific" needed by QL,besides the aforementioned "observed burn rate" of your particular lot of powder...which IS different with every lot of powder) is the actual H2O capacity of your fired cases. For safety reasons,I'm assuming) QL uses a "minimum" H2O capacity for each particular chambering. In every instance except one, I've found the actual water capacity to be a bit more than QL's default.

QL can be amazing with it's accuracy, but the actual burn rate of your powder, and the actual capacity of your fired cases are absolutely essential pieces of info to get the best from the program. And I'd not even think about playing around near "top end" without this actual data being input.

I agree that QL is not a substitute for doing our own homework. Having said this..., the velocity of 3167fps for my 243 Win that 7stwHunter gave me was very close. My 10 shot velocity average was 3137fps. Thanks again man.
