Ballistic-X Question

Really liked the way this looked but as with the majority of these I have no idea how to use it. I find the instructions too brief.
I can take a target from my album but it goes poorly for me after that. eg: a target is easily less the 1/4 inch but shows it as 1”+
Any quick tips or did I just waste my money?

Sounds like maybe you need to set the reference for the given target, so the program knows how to scale things correctly.

Monte is correct. I use a similar but basically same program and there will be a step where it asks for you to measure two points on target and tell it how far away they are from each other. If you're using something with 1" squares on it for instance, you'd simply measure the box and say 1". If you're shooting white paper you're going to have to draw a line or two points on your paper that are a known distance, 1" for example and make sure it's in the photo when you take the pic so you can measure it in the app. Here's a pic of the screen where you do that and a pretty good walk through of the app. https://precisionrifleguy.com/2019/01/28/review-ballistic-x-app/
