ballistic software

been out of long range varmint hunting for about 15yrs, back then i had program to do my ballistics calculating and click value ect, it was called PCB 1.8 i liked it and it did very precise calculations, but since i got a new computer with windows 7 it does not run, is there any free software that will run on win 7 and do what PCB did.

thanks
Chet

handloads.com site has a calculator. The bergerbullets site has one. I use Strelok Pro for $10 on my cellphone, and it has every parameter you could want. There is a free version, or used to be.

Google "On Target Software". They have a free version that is rather basic but accurate. You can download it to a thumb drive and run it on your laptop where there is no internet, such as south Texas.

No, it doesn't. I sight my rifle in at 100, recalculate with a 500 yard zero, then move the turrent the required number of inches up at 100 to hit 500.
500 yards is my max distance on my range. Can't shoot any farther without hitting the neighbors cattle.

Looks like Strelok Pro for the iPhone is $11.99 and JBM is $19.95. Is JBM worth the extra? There are a few listed for free and then some from $1.99 to $29.99.

You might want to take a look at a program I wrote some time back. I've ran it on Windows XP to Windows 10.

Best of all it's free.

The file is really an .exe, so after you download it you have to rename it with an .exe extension, then the installer will work.

I put a link to the installer directly. The rar file was for some virus scanners that complain.

You'll have to right click the exe and install as administrator. It uses the Microsoft Data Access components for databases and has to run as admin to install.

There is also a program I use on my phone that I find accurate. It is called Shooter. It works on Android or IPhone . Think it is $9.99 but not sure.

I'm happy with my android app Exterior Ballistics Calculator. Very accurate, versatile, considers all parameters, and it's easy to use.
