Ballistic edge vs ken light annealer

Im sure this has been discussed before but would like to know opinions of the better of the two annealers, ken light and the ballistic edge. Reasons why you like either of the two would be appreciated. Im sure there both good units but sometimes its better to ask before buying. Thanks

They both do the same thing only one is a bit more money.I have a ballistics edge and are quite satisfied.

The Ken Light was my first annealer and was the only show in town for a while. The balistic edge was my second purchase and a definite step up from the Ken Light. You dont need to buy extra wheels and it is easier to set up. Now, I own a Bench Source and it is a step up from the Ballistic Edge. The Bench Source is, by far, the easiest annealing machine I've had to set up. It takes less than five minutes to switch from one cartridge to another....that can't be said for either of the units you are looking at. If you are looking for the best machine for low to medium volumes, Bench Source gets my vote. If you are annealing in large volumes...500+ at a time....then I"d give the Giraud a look.

Scott: It takes me about five minutes to switch with my Ken Light. I have seen output from both other annealers. In performance terms, there seems to be no difference. So, the comparison is about price and/or features. BTW, I run 500 cases with no problem. [br]
On another matter: Are you bringing the Harris clan up to Ben Avery this week? If so, I'll see you there. I'll be shooting Thursday through Sunday.

Harris , Harris, Harris, and Harris will not be at the match unfortunately. I have no rifles that shoot well at 1K....so saving a bucket full of frustration and skipping out. Hopefully next year I'll have a bushell full of good rifles to shoot with the family. :-)

Got the Bench Source on this forum in the group buy its a piece of cake to do a thousand rounds have done that three times in one setting each.

I have a Ken Light and find it to work okay once you figure out what you want and need but it's a PITA to set up! I think Kens knowledge and annealing publications are the best on the web, however if or rather when I purchase another on I want the table to be adjustable for speed instead of totally depending on flame adjustment like the Ken Light does, I don't ever do high volume but after a lot of research I will be going with the bench source or Giraurd because the dwell time is controllable.
