I have the Shooter app on my phone. When setting up a bullet it asks powder temp. Now.....I ASSUMED (I know, I know) that the app "adjusted" final FPS in the firing solution based on the fact that it asks for ambient temps when inputting shooting variables such as distance, alt, etc..... Now I know that temp is HUGE when it comes to EXTERNAL ballistics....and also some difference in FPS due to powder temp.
The question is.....does an app figure in powder temp when calculating your firing solution? Does it figure that your FPS is slower if the current temps are lower than your imputted initial powder temp and higher if it is hotter? I used to think it did, but am guessing not. If not, why ask the question in the first place? If not, that makes the chrono that much more important for LR hunting and PRS type shooting.
Just waiting for the snow to melt,
