Balistic Programs

I have several but mainly use Shooter for field use. It’s about the simplest one out there for that purpose. I turn off spin drift and coriolis. If you really want to get into the weeds AB Professional has about anything and everything you could want including WEZ hit rate calculations.

I also use strelok and im bummed that it is banned. Hopefully the war ends. Strelok with no trueing or anything has me within about 2 moa at 1 mile with a 6 creed. About .5 minutes at 1k. Can't complain about that.

I tried Hornady 4dof and the interface sucks. The new AB one looks good. I have played with it but too lazy to re-enter everything into a new app. I better do it though before something happens to my phone. The old AB app interface sucked. I had already paid for the old, so I think that transferred to the new one.

I have tried a new one lately called Revic. It's free and has most of the bells and whistles. It is actually quite good and very user friendly.

According to the Strelok Facebook page, if you download the Huawei store(Chinese equivalent to Play Store) you can download and/or update Strelok. You have to do this on a VPN and show you're in another country. I've know about this for several weeks and still haven't decided if I want to do it or not. I spoke with our IT guy about this and he hadn't heard any bad news about the download. I am curious if anybody on here has tried it.

For a free program, I really like the Hornady.

Its fairly detailed but to me it's still logical. Every input has a (?) tab that you can click and get an explanation. You can set up and save rifle profiles. Really easy to swing a needle or throw a slider on the same page and see what effect it will have on your impact.

I'm also using geoballostics and I don't think it's an intuitive app. If your shooting PRS or something that has multiple targets or stages that you want to pre prepare then yes it has its benifits. Compensates to altitude, humidity, coriolis, spin drift and this fun stuff. . . . .but when you build a rifle profile there is no where to record your zeroing conditions . . . So what the F is it using as a baseline when compensating for future atmospheric changes?
