Dang, Dale! Do you know EVERYBODY?
A few years back, around 2012-2013 IIRC, I was in a crowd of nearly 100,000 waiting for Pope Benedict XVI to make possibly his last public appearance due to failing health (We had no idea that this was happening, typical clueless American tourists)
I was just traveling in the Mediterranean area, saw the huge crowd so we wandered over. Like we were 'wayyy back in the crowd, so far back that this guy next to me had binoculars. Finally the door opened up in some sort of skybox thingie and several people walked out to the rail. Dude with the binocs is peering and peering and we're all asking him "what's going on???"
He says "I dunno, there's some dudes with funny clothes and some guy with a white hat standing next to Dale..."
