Backyard 22 matches

I have been looking into 22 LR matches. I can't find anything close to my location, I will make my own. I have looked at a few, like 22 Marksman Challenge
. I would love to get to this match, but it is across the county from me. I live in SW VA. Let me know of anything close.

I am shooting Matches sticks, playing card, gum balls glued to golf tee, anything that will brake or fall down. and small steel all from 25yds to 200yds. I am shoot off bi-pods, prone and off benches, off hand, and resting off walls. mostly anything goes.

I am looking at setting up a match at my local club. For now I am shoot at a farm, close to my home.

What are you shooting? I am looking for different stuff. I'm not big on paper shooting.

We set up a set of swinging silhoettes (sp) 5 per stand(50yd-200), a can of spray paint and you're good. It REALLY would help if the particepents know their drops before getting started. You will also find that an average Joe will NOT have enough elevation in their optics for 200yds. 25-100 yds may be a better starting point to get the newcomers interested and for them to see what takes to go to 200 yds.

There is a .22 club that does all that out to 200 yards here in N.Florida. Too long away from you. They shoot at the Oceola Forest Gun Range outside of Lake City Florida. Hope you find something close.

Question for you..what kind of stock is that and especially what brand of adjustable cheekpiece is that????Thanks

There are three of us here locally that run long-range rimfire matches on varying size and shaped steel plates from 25 yards to 200 yards at two ranges and 30 yards to 325 yards at the other.

Located near St. Clairsville Ohio which must be too far away from anyone since we can't seem to get anyone other than our local group of shooters to come try it out.

Plenty of pictures and links to videos on YouTube located in the long-range section on Rimfire Central. Way better than Silhouette, more fun than poking holes in paper and really helps to improve honing your long-range game for long-range centerfire matches.

Ripley,
I can't tell for the video. I have a Victor Titan for one of my 10-22 http://www.victorcompanyusa.com/titan-1022.html I think it is one of the best stocks for a 10-22. "Titan secures the 1022 receiver to aircraft-grade hardened aluminum bedding in the front and rear of the action for maximum accuracy". The stock in the video is not a Titan, but alot of the guy there use them. The cheek rest is a after market add on. Victor just came out with one, for their Titan.

Topstrap,
I have seen your match videos. looks like a great match. You are 4 hr or better from me. I may make it up one day.
