Back yard benchrest shoot in upstate N.Y. Saturday noon 7/13

New Bremen Fish and Game 8542 Artz road. New Bremen NY. [ Google for directions ]. will be having a outlaw benchrest shoot, Saturday 7/13/2019 registration 12 noon. Shooting begins 1 pm. Rain or shine.

We will be shooting for score and have 2 classes. # 1 Hunter rifle Using NBRSA as a guide. And # 2 Open class. Open means any rifle up to 30 cal. Both classes can use any rest. We will be shooting 5 rounds at 100 and 5 at 200, total 10 rounds. As many sighters as you want Wind flags welcome.
The entry will be $10 per class with a 50% payback. We will also be shooting a fun target, to be decided that day. You do not have to be a club member to play, however there will be memberships available.
We have made many improvements to the club however it is still a good ol back woods club. We do have 300 and 400 yard targets.

Hunter Class rifle A Hunter rifle stock must not be over 2 ¼ inches wide and be convex on all bottom surfaces of the stock. . Custom re-barreling is permitted. The barrel shall taper to a diameter not to exceed .750 diameter Original factory issue barrels need not meet these specifications. Glue-ins are not allowed. Bore diameter can be up to and include .300'' Rifle and scope not to exceed 10 pounds in weight. Falling Block/Rolling Block single shot rifles will be allowed in Hunter Class competition. Any scope up to 36x will be permitted.

Just a thought, a match that is only 10 shots woud not encourage me to go to all the effort. Great to see a club starting matches but I think 10 shots at each distance would appeal to more shooters. I hope you are successful.

Yes you are right. We can ask the shooters and do what the majority wants to do.
Things can be changed.
