Copied this from Predatormasters, and thought some might like to see some pics of a "'Cano-organized" varmint hunt from the other side of the planet--
Heading back to my wife's home again this May, and looking forward to some rat (daga) hunting, and frog (palaka) sniping with airguns. Purchased a reworked air pistol from a guy in Mindanao last year. His gunsmith steel-epoxied a Weaver base to the barrel, and I mounted a 2X Swift scope and mini-torchlight to it, and it was "guapo" over there. The hit of the barrio really. Man did we have some fun with it, and it was ACCURATE too (look at the 4-shot 17-yd. group in the 3rd picture). I let my nephew (who was actually recovering from a stroke)shoot mostly, and he was a natural. He must've killed a dozen rats in 5 or 6 nights hunts at the local dump--

Hows about the rat sticker, huh?--I bought it at the local mall here at home and thought it might be just right for this setup
I was operating the camera, and letting my nephews shoot mostly, as I was hoping to get a pic of a rat for a possible cover photo for Varmint Hunter magazine since I'd never seen a rat CP yet. Had a perfect opportunity once but my nephew is so fast on the trigger that I couldn't get the pic--hopefully this year.
Gonna take a tripod with a V-yoke attachment (as seen in the 2nd pic below) with me for some frog sniping out to as far as we can take them. I fashioned a homemade target turret for it out of a vial cap, and it works pretty well netting me almost 100 MOA of travel. This pic of a buddy in Ligao (30 miles from the Mayan volcano) is right after we were shooting out to 70 meters with it and we hit a basket ball-size rock several times at that distance. It was quite fun to shoot--

This years gear (less the gun)--

Honestly, I couldn't believe this plan came to fruition, but I don't think it could've worked out any better really. Anyway thought some might like to see some varmint hunting from the other side of the planet.
