B14R trigger pin to cocking piece question

Afternoon fella's, first time me posting in this section but I'm new to the B14R and while looking at triggers I took a measurment from the trigger pin to cocking piece as I've been looking into the BixN' Andy triggers and noticed the distance seems off to me from other Remington's I've dealt with! I am getting .138"/.139" where most of the time that dimension is closer to .153"/.160" but those numbers are from center fire rifles.

Just curious what you guys have been getting for the measurement as I don't have any others around I can check? Thanks in advance fella's!

Kirk

I can't answer on the viability of using B&A trigger with the B14R but I installed a Trigger Tech trigger on mine and it works just fine.
Not sure if you're a Sniper's Hide member but there is a very lengthy and informative thread on the B14R over there. It could be well worth the read.

The Trigger Tech would for sure be the easy button! I'll go over and check out the thread.... thanks.

Fixed it! ;):):D
Mine had a cautionary statement about aftermarket triggers in the owners manual stating there may be some that will not function properly in the B14R.
I have used two different TT triggers so I do know they work.
That statement may just be to limit the goofy phone calls. Ive installed about every kind of trigger in the b14r and with the exception of a few being loose they all worked perfectly. Theres a few guys on ebay selling TT triggers at a pretty good deal. I just grabbed some primary and independence ones last nite

I am positive that the only thing that will limit a firearms manufacturer from oodles of "goofy phone calls" is having their phone disconnected.

So you fella's think I'm just overthinking this!

Working in Quality I've just become stupid crazy with tolerances so just want to be sure that I get the correct sear, 2 of the guys I know have TT Diamonds and they can not get the weight down to the lowest setting without the pin following when closing the bolt and from what I understand the weight of pull is the only adjustment those triggers have? I've not looked at them so I could be well off base!

The TT triggers are "sealed" for all adjustments except weight of pull. Look for the tape that says "Warranty void if removed".
I decided against the TT Diamond for mine for two reasons. I didn't want to spend Diamond money on a lower end 22LR when I already have a Vudoo (with a TT Diamond). I also felt the Diamond may have been too light for 100% reliability on the B14R.
I used the Special or Primary (don't remember which now). The first one I had on there I stole for another project. So I ordered another for the B14R. Both functioned perfectly.

Guess I'm just overthinking..... I'm real good at this LOL this would be mainly for NRL/PRS been kicking around getting my feet wet so not real sure a 1.5oz. would be a good choice! now if it held bouncing the rifle off bags on barricades it might be interesting :-O I'm good with 6-10oz.

Oh well I'll just contact B&A and see what they think but I'm guessing they have not dealt with the rimfire actions yet.

Away from a solid bench i think youll find any trigger under 1lb will get annoying

Been shooting light triggers for over 30 years BUT I do find myself bumping them up a touch as of late! put my finger in too many places it shouldn't go over the year and the nerve damage is catching up, paying for my youth I guess lol with the range of adjustment should be able to get something that works out well but I'll agree with you as I remember when I started going light there were some times I'd cuss like a sailor, always shot field positions never really had the patience to sit on a bench for long.
