AZ State Midrange Results

It was a very enjoyable weekend, great weather, and those devilish conditions that everyone likes at Ben Avery. A big congratulations to Oliver Milanovic who shot a stellar 1200-100....yes that is 100 Xs out of 120 shots. You might think this was a weekend full of bunny relays, you would definitely be wrong. If Oliver shot on an F-class target today, he would have beaten the F-TR winner by X-count...wow. I'm told Oliver's 600-53X is a new national record. It's a big day when a sling record gets broken, congrats Oliver.

Also, a big congratulations to Eric Wuestenhoefer, the FO winner. He held off some tough competition to win his second state championship in the last six months. Nice work Eric.

Finally, congratulations to Nancy Tompkins, our F-TR winner. If you have to come in 2nd place, it's not so bad to get beat by Nancy. :) Thank you to all the people who put on such a great match: Mid, Michelle, Matt, Scott R, Pete Church, and countless other volunteers.

Desert Sharpshooters puts on another great match. Oliver crushed it this weekend, it is amazing to see what he can do with a 155 Hybrid.

Thanks to everyone listed above as well as Nick for running the line with Mid.

Oliver broke both the midrange iron sight and any sight national records (with a palma gun) in addition to the state championship, well done my friend!

Holy Moly! Never met Oliver in person, but someone please shake his hand for me! That’s off the scale precision with open sights and a sling! Translate those 100 of 120 his score would be up there with those “touching the trigger and scopes!” Amazing rounds..!! Congratulations to Oliver!

Congratulations to the other winners as well. Looks like some tough competition!

Congratulations to Oliver , Eric , Nancy , and Katie . Phenomenal shooting in typical BA conditions . As Scott said , No Bunny relays for this one , and that makes all the scores , across the board excellent .
DSS ; and all the volunteers put on another world class event , as expected ...LOL . Mid , Nick , Michelle and all of the others are to be commended for doing this time and time again . And the Pit-Master did a superior job in keeping things in order and running smoothly on that end .

Learned 2 valuable lessons. Never shoot first, even if you can see the whole target and never shoot through the boil. Thanks to all those who put on the shoot. Had a very good time.
