AZ Long Range Regional

Turbulent Turtle

F-TR competitor
I am registered for this match and I look forward to it. While reviewing the program, I noticed that the Team match on Monday, October 27 consists of two events, to wit:

Match 9 : Any sight 4-man Team: 2 sighters and 20 rounds per shooter.
Match 10: Iron Sight 4-man Team: 2 sighters and 20 rounds per shooter.
Match 11: An aggregate of matches 9 & 10; must be the same people for both matches.

I was thinking that I might be able to get on a team, but I was not planning on bringing my old Palma rifle as well as my F-TR rifles. And anyway, that rifle is broken and I never got it fixed.

I'm not sure why one match is with Any sight and the other is with Iron sights, but it is what it is. I guess I'll just spectate or sleep in on that day.

Finally arrived. I stopped by the range before getting to the hotel; everything looks just great. It's hot; in the 90s for the next day or two.

We start shooting tomorrow morning.

No Sir.... I know there will be others who will give some up-dates, however, I know I can count on you to give us PICS of the score sheets! El-Correcto?

Scores, direct from Phoenix (sort of). ;) [br]
Congratulations to Derek Rodgers and Allan Rosenthal.

Steve Harp shoots at Bayou Rifles. He is a BRAND NEW F-Open shooter. From what I understand he made HIGH MASTER in less than 5 trips to the range. Look at where he is standing! EXCELLENT job Steve!

Devon Harris fired a 198-8X score back at 1000 that was also a new Nat'l Record score. AZ Junior F-TR shooter.

Eat your hearts out guys...that's a heck of a score.

Had some down time today so I stopped in at Team Matches to get some pics.(phone)
Thought I share how beautiful the day is out here.

Didn't stay around to get results and hope that for someone else posts.
Great range, challenging conditions (tweaky) and great crowd of people.Always good to see old friends and make new ones. Some great shooting posted over the last two days and the winners deserve the accolades for their results.
Mid and his group put on a fine well run match.
Worth making the extra effort to attend next one for those that missed this one.
Tomorrow is practice day and the Real Deal Nats start Wed.
Forcast is for PERFECT weather!!

Great shooting by Scott and Devon Harris! Hey Scott, did Devon shoot the .223? He definitely shot very well regardless of what caliber it was. You all ought to be well tuned-in for Nationals!
Thanks for the kind words all, I'm very proud of the 14 yr old. Devon shot the good ole 308 with 185 Juggernauts. My eleven year old, Adrian, shot the 223 with 90s. I asked him what he thought of shooting at 1000 vs 500. He said, "it's hard dad." :D

Congrats to Allan and Derek on their outstanding shooting!
