It was a trigger pulling weekend, maybe the calmest I've ever seen at Ben Avery. The ladies did quite well ... as usual. Special congrats to my better half who shot a perfect score two days in a row! We had a good junior turnout, which is always nice to see.
Funny story: someone fired about 10 shots in a row right in between our targets at the beginning of a string. Figured it was someone 10 or 20 targets over. Shots kept hitting right between the berms and whoever it was got dialed in really well on our target. As we told the story at lunch afterwards, John Farraggio piped in and said, "ya, that was me." I asked him, "didn't your scorer tell you your target was not going down?" He said, "Yep".......John must have had a lot of extra sighters, because he shot a clean that day and came in second overall for the weekend. Maybe his strategy was to not mess up his target with a lot of sighters.
