Avg. Velocity W/ShotMarker .284 Win.,180 Hyb.?

What average velocity are you seeing with your .284 Win./180gr Berger Hyb at 1,000 yds?

An awful lot of factors come into play in those numbers.

Air density
Temperature (as part of air density and separately)
Muzzle velocity
Meplat diameter
Barrel twist rate (more accurately, Sg)

I'm sure I missed a few.

As an example, my impact velocity increases ~200 fps at Raton when compared to sea level.

@adamjmac needs to weigh in here. I don't know how precise the velocity numbers from the ShotMarker are. I know when I talked to him about another brand of target before he released the ShotMarker he said that the sensor spacing wasn't conducive to precise results. He may have improved things with the ShotMarker design.

If you just want some 1000 yd data, past E-target data from FCNCs at Lodi (2016/2017) is still available online. The only rub is that you need to know the competitor number to access the data...shouldn't be too hard to find the #s for a few F-Open shooters that you know were shooting .284/180s. Some might actually even chime in here and provide you with the appropriate competitor number.

24 shot practice string shot back in July with a lab radar and a shot marker at 1000, 84 degrees 13% humidity 29.3 baro
Muzzle 2862 FPS avg, SD 5.3 ES 21
1000 yards 1616 FPS avg, SD 9.6 ES 46
9.7 inch 24 shot group. These are not tipped or trimmed. I don't know accurate the shot marker is at capturing velocity.
