Rick has retired from making them, and I waited a bit too long to order more.

I'm just curious about what is so special about the covers you are looking for ?? I have same scope and the stock cover works great . What am I missing ?

These are no longer produced or readily available, so if I were to convince you of the merits/benefits, it wouldn't matter. Rick had some health issues and decided to stop making them.

I didn't need convincing , I just couldn't understand what was so special that I was missing about them to keep you on the search this long , no offense . You like what you like . A good boot or saddle shop could easily make those if you were interested . If you can't find a place , let me know , I'd be happy to help .

No offense taken. 2 of the 3 sets in that picture were obtained from this thread. I've bought lots of things via WTB ad on this forum over the years.

Absolutely correct. There is nothing like a set of Averill lens covers. I have had 3 different leather lens covers over the years and Rick's are unapparelled. I was very sad when the last time I called him he declined my order.

I will say that George's caps have come a long way since I first saw them. I have never tried a set, but may soon, since this thread says you can get them 'not tooled'. The stitching looks much better than a few years ago.
