Auto powder measures

I've been thinking about getting an auto powder scale/thrower. I like to weigh every charge and this means reloading can drag out when working up large batches of ammo. I also do alot of handgun reloading which is tedious with my rcbs powder thrower, even though I allow for quite the deviation in the charge for these loads. I've heard great and horrible reviews on the rcbs, lyman, and pact. Let me know if you have any experience with these units.

I use the lyman 1200 DPS and love it. It is not as easy to clean out as the rcbs but is very accurate as long as you let it warm up for 30min. But the rcbs has to warm up as well. If i had to buy a new one it would be the lyman.

CORRECTION: I have the RCBS Chargemaster 1500 Combo. And it DOES NOT HAVE TO WARM UP. Turn it on, calibrate and go!!

That along with speed are two reasons to go with the RCBS. Do a search and find out for yourself....

From what I understand, Lyman's newest model is faster than the older version; but still, I couldn't imagine having to wait 30 mins for the measure to warm up. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but there are many times that I have wanted to load up some test rounds and get out to the range before it got dark....just one example.

I have a RCBS Charge Master 1500. I have change the loading parameters, programming) and it dispenses within .1 in 7-15 seconds. I would never go back to a balance beam scale.
