August Longrange rimfire match.
I'm going to have my longrange rimfire match this month on the third weekend. I'm wanting to go to the Mopar Nationals on the second weekend. It'll be on August 17, 18 and 19th starting about 9:00AM. 100 rounds should cover the match plus the 5 free sighters and a couple to check your zero before you start. Might bring a few extras just in case. Distances will be from 25 yards out thru 197 yards and you'll know the distance for each target except for the chance I may put in an unknown distance as your final shot. Never know when that may happen.
As always there is a limit on ammo costs to no more than $8.00/50 based on what it sells for at Champion Shooters Supply websire not including sales. No benchrest style rests or tuners are allowed, just sandbags and/or bi-pods to support your gun unless you want to shoot the match offhand.
You may use a tuner if it is attached and looks exactly like this one.
I will place each entry into a drawing for $25.00 and usually there will be two drawn. Winner of the match will get free entry the following month. All my target racks are steel of varying sizes and shapes and usually aren't the same from month to month. I try to have one special target as your last target to add a bit of interest and test your skills.
It might even be splitting the bullet on the axe....... or maybe not.
It takes approximately 1 hour to shoot the course, all is done from a bench except for an occasional chance of something different for the final shot. I only have two benches under a covered firing line and sometimes there is a wait but that is time to shoot the breeze, brag or stretch the truth with others.
