If the above picture and layout is accurate it begs the question “How did they miss that?”

When watching the video, I think Trump hears something, looks the direction of the shooter and gets hit in the ear, that turn of the head may have saved him…. Just thinking out loud.

Not only how did they miss it, but were they actually sighted in on him before he started shooting. He had been pointed out, after all.

If the SS shots are part of the group of reports, then he was shot almost immediately after he started firing, suggesting he was already in someone’s crosshairs, suggesting that equivocation about his identity may have occurred.

This excerpt from the article seems odd - “Greg Smith said the man had crawled on top of a building just outside the event in Butler County on Friday evening.” Isn’t today Saturday?

Secret Service left him way to much exposed after the shot in my opinion.

I'm sure someone has already pointed this out (reading through this thread at 9:44 CDST), but the audio from the stage indicates the shooter was down before the SS moved President Trump. That would be SOP - otherwise, they would have kept him down and covered.

Wow. Somebody dropped the ball.

Or chose to ignore the ball entirely. That position should have been surveilled or occupied. That the shooter was not spotted and neutralized before he got a round off is reason enough to start asking a whole bunch of people a whole bunch of questions. Elevated position with a clear line of sight to the high-value target? You put a man on that spot, not optics.

Wow - first impressions is serious failure on SS when someone is trying to alert you to a shooter on the roof. I don’t judge, don’t know the details but if it went down like he’s describing that’s fail.

Apparently, the "Shooter" was behind the Peak of the Roof and SS could not see him, from their, position. When he Crested the Peak and Shot at Trump, they Blasted Him,.. almost, immediately

The point of aim of the shooter’s rifle directly at Trump should have been interpreted as revealing his intentions no matter who they thought he might have been.
