Assistance with Making 6.5 WSM brass From .270 WSM Brass

[i]Hi Guys
Can any one assist me with their knowledge for making 6.5 WSM Brass at 2.020" From .270 WSM Brass at 2.100", the shoulder on the 6.5WSM brass is set back to 1.545" from the .270 WSM brass at 1.664" any useful info for forming or making this brass will be gratefully received, 6.5 WSM Brass on R/H Side and .270 WSM on L/H Side in the Attached Picture Thank You. :-[

My new barrel was called 6.5 wsm by previous gunsmith owner.
He did not say any thing about pushing should back that much. I just got a set of lee dies
I am using 270 WSM brass, per smith. He actually used redding 270 bushing die with the correct bushing for 6.5 bullet.
Here is a picture if mine, they have not been fired, but that is FL sized
They chamber well.

 
I believe the OP has had a custom chambering that uses a shorter case. Makes sense since a 6.5 WSM does not need the case capacity of a 270 WSM.
 
Get a Full length type S Redding 270 WSM die and shave .080" off the bottom, install a neck bushing suited for 6.5, and run brass in the die. Then expand necks with your neck turning expanding mandrel and then neck turn. After all that is done, trim, chamfer, deburr, and load.

I have done it hundreds or times and you will have a much easier time with Norma brass than Winchester because it's softer.
