Arlington Sportsman Club 100 yard Score Match 4/26

This is just a reminder that the Arlington Sportsman club is having a 100 yard score match on April 26th.
We have 4 classes (Factory, AR, Modified, and Benchrest) so nearly any centerfire rifle can shoot in this match.
Cost is only $10 and you do not have to be a member of the club to shoot.

This match will be from a bench at 100 yards, and every shooter will have a scope on their rifle and will be using a front rest as well as a rear bag. There may be 1 guy in the bunch using a bipod if he brings his F-class rifle.

You can shoot iron sights, but this match may not be right for that. I do beleive there are other matches at the club that are iron sight specific, but I do not shoot that discipline.

This is a very relaxed fun shoot. If you want to shoot a little in a competitive style format without all the pressure, this is the way to go. WE shoot with some great guys.

Here is an old picture of my dad and his set up, and my set up just in the fore ground. While we shoot in Benchrest class, you most certianly can bring any other style of rest or gun.

Found enough parts (30 PPC barrel from Thud) to throw a 30BR together. Looked promising yesterday. Will have to go with it "as is" for Saturday.

Sounds like a fun match, I do enjoy local club matches they are lots of fun. We up here in Pa shoot alot of multi yardage groundhog type matches, which you will see the biggest variety of guns on the line.

We only shoot 100 yards at this match. When the club was built in 1955, we were in the middle of no where. Since then neighborhoods have pooped up all around us. We have had to modify the range several times to ensure safety. We just finished as $$$ upgrade on this area and it turned out pretty nice.
