Arken vs Others

There’s a few threads rolling around but I can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

Those of you with Arken optics (EP5) can you compare them to anything common…..maybe which vortex scope to the compare to. Anyone compared them to the Cabelas scopes?

How about a Nightforce SHV?

I compared the EP-5 to the 8.5 X 25 X 50 LRP Leupold. Sold all six of the Leupolds and replaced them with the EP-5. Also, had 1 Vortex Strike Eagle 4 X 24 X 50 and replaced it with the EP-5 as well.

I have a SH-4 6-24X50 Gen 2 and the optics seem very comparable to a Vortex Strike Eagle, but I like the Arken turrets a lot better. They're more tactile and audible than the Vortex. The parallax adjustment on the Arken also has more marked ranges than the Vortex. The only area where I thought Vortex was better was eye box --the Arken I have seems very tight and I understand the EP-5 is similar. The newer EP-5 is getting great reviews for its optical clarity and has the same turrets as the SH-4. I don't think the illumination is that good on either one.

The eye-box on the EP-5 is sort of tight and maybe a little tighter than the Leupold but I don't see it as a hinder. I see it as making sure I am looking thru the scope very close to the same eye-position each time I shoot.

I have 4 of their scopes now,and for the money I don't think there is better scope out there .I had an Athlon 6x24x50 and it doesn't even come close....now I don't have Nightforce money but have been able to shoot several guns equipped with them and think the Arken is maybe not comparable but is still a budget friendly option for a good long range scope.

Today, I shot an 18"X15" steel target from 500 yards using my 6.5 CM and SH-4 Arken scope. My first shot was on target. I give a lot of credit for that accuracy to the scope as the sight picture was bright and clear on 20X magnification with parallax adjusted for 500 yards. I love this scope.
