Arkansas Gator Hunt

First year that a private land alligator hunt in Arkansas was not a draw only. I received a permit and hunted Sun. night on a private lake. Spotted several before we got up on this one. After "sticking" him he dragged us around for an hour before a shot to the head finished him off.
A legal alligator is 4 foot or better and I was hoping for a 6 to 8 footer. This beast was 10' 4" with some tail missing with an estimated weight of 450-500 pounds!! What a night!

Nice!!! my dad does the gator hunts for archery her in LA, he even sells a few hunts for rifle or bow. If you dont get the kill shot yeah they will go on forever and its hard to grab that little float.
