Arizona F-TR Shooter's

Hey All! Is there any Arizona F-t/r shooter's on this board? Just getting my savage 10fp-sr build all finished up and looking to get into the match scene. Would like to go to a match or two and learn the ropes from somebody before entering and maybe get some practice at 600-1000... I have a ton to learn but looking foward to the challenge! Any Info would be greatly appreciated!

I wouldnt waste time being a spectator at a match. Bring your rifle on out and shoot. The shooters will help you learn the basics. The only way your going to learn is to shoot.

Um, From Arizona... Hmmm. lol There are a lot of Arizona shooter here. Next match is January 9th it's a 3 x 600. 20 shots for record. At Ben Avery.

The Desert Sharp Shooters calendar is your best resource for matches in Arizona.

Good Luck, See you on the line!!!

Sounds like January 9th it is! Thanks for the info! I checked out desert sharp shooter but I didn't see anything on the website about membership. Is there an application? Or just show up to the match and take care of it from there?? Looking foward to the 9th!

There is no membership just show up and shoot. However if you are going to shoot in a registered match I would highly advise you to download the match program and register for the match. The link below is for the match program. Also it should be noted that F Class shooters can only participate in Matches 1,2, & 3. If you have any other questions just ask.

There is a 500 this Sunday at prgc (south mountain). There is 600 yd matches the next 2 Saturday's at Avery. Come on out & shoot. The sling & f class people get along great here & we have a lot of fun.

It definitely is! I've been looking at the calenders for awhile but never really knew what class was what, How the "clubs" worked etc. I Have lived in Arizona all my life (30) and been into guns as long as I could own them. Started reloading about 2-3 years ago, the natural next step is to compete.. Against other people than myself ... In a friendly "gentlemen" kinda way! ;D Can't wait to get out there and learn the ropes!

You will like it, just don't be afraid to ask questions.

Show up with your gun and be willing to help set up and tear down the rest is easy. Arizona shooters are the most willing to help group of people I have ever been around.

Sunday at Phoenix Rod and gun 500 yard.

Sighters and 60 for record 75 should be more than you need. If you don;t have a 500 yard zero don't worry that only takes a minute with someone assisting.

desertsharpshooters.com has the time and a map if you need.

We have a fun "practice" 600 yd match the first Sunday of each month in Tucson.
It's low key and everyone is helpful. If you live in south Phoenix it's not a bad drive.
