Arizona coyote at night

I was told centerfire at night is legal for coyote in Az now? What lights are legal? Is there a season at night? Im gonna have to stop in fish and game but figured Id ask around here too

Not legal, unless they have changed it recently, and I doubt that as we have a large number of callers who do well keeping the population in check.

That must depend where at in AZ., as sheep ranch coops contract with Fed. ADC to do coyote control. Most is done through trapping, but calling and spot lighting at night with rifles are also used.

I am unaware of anyone spotlighting coyotes period. Having said that one of my friends is under contract with the state for Mt. Lion control, and the methods they have permission to use is not legal for non-contracted hunters. I guess best id to ask G and F.

Coyote season daylight is year round here correct? (Arizona)

Daylight hunting is all year.
Night hunt, "Daylong", starts December 1 in certain hunt units.
AZ hunting license is required.

They take all the fun out of it. They might have a for agriculture purposes rule that allows for the removal of problem animals.

AZ also has night hunting for mountain lions in a few units.
It is where there are "conflicts" with lions and bighorn sheep.
